Polar Express was in it's same old spot again. Moving on, in place of the common location for the Drop Of Fear, the Giant Wheel (150ft. He saw it testing and he thought it didn't look so scary. The first ride we saw was The Zipper (Chance Zipper) which I had been telling Mena for years that it's the best ride in the world. Well, we were surprised with this year's selection. Mena and I decided to hit the midway, just to see what they have this year. It being just before 10:00, the rides weren't open. Mena had to pay the regular rate of $8 dollars for admission. Rebecca, Richard, Laura and I had Magic Passes which were $27 each for both admission and rides. We were dropped off by the entrance just beside the Food Building. And once we finished with the subway, we took a street car right down to the CNE. From there we took the Subway west, then another south and then another west. Then we went down to Toronto to pick up Laura and Kathy, from there my dad drove us to the subway station and dropped us off to go to work. We left the house at about 8:10 and went to pick up Mena at his house. The event in all attracts many people, whether they ride some rides or not.

But the CNE isn't just rides, there are many different shows, activities, games and contests too. They have a few common and uncommon rides to choose from. The Canadian National Exhibition's rides are provided by Conklin shows. But when you know it's the last few weeks of summer in Toronto, you know that the CNE is around. Back to school shopping, cooler weather, not as many things to do. Getting around to the end of the summer, things get depressing.
